On April 30, the 12th Hong Kong 

International Music Festival (HKIMF) · 

2025 Huaming Award Innovative Pop Music 

Competition (Sichuan Division) was 

launched in Wenjiang, with the opening 

ceremony held at the Grand Theater of 

Sichuan Vocational College of Art. The 

event, themed "Music as the Medium, 

Culture as the Stage, and Economy as the 

Performance", aims to deepen Sichuan-

Hong Kong cooperation through musical 

and cultural exchanges, fostering 

collaborative development in arts and 

industries between the two regions.

4月30日，第十二届香港国际音乐节·2025华鸣奖创新流行音乐大赛四川赛区落地温江，启动仪式在四川职业艺术学院大剧场拉开帷幕。本次活动以“音乐为媒·文化搭台·经贸唱戏”为主旨，通过音乐文化交流深化川港合作，促进两地文化艺术与产业协同发展。

Under the guidance and strong support of 

the Hong Kong Special Administrative 

Region (SAR) Government, the HKIMF 

has been successfully held for eleven 

sessions since its inception in 2013, 

attracting over 300,000 participants from 

around 150 countries and regions 

worldwide. It is a grand global music 

event that blends classical and pop, 

tradition and modernity.

香港国际音乐节在香港特区政府的指导与大力支持下，自2013年首届举办以来，已成功举办十一届，吸引了全球约150个国家及地区超30万人次参与，是一项融汇古典与流行、传统与现代的全球大型音乐盛事。

Competition, unveiled the competition 

schedule. Starting in May, the competition 

will open to global music enthusiasts with 

the campus, social, and original categories. 

Outstanding contestants will advance to 

the finals in Hong Kong to compete for 

international-level music development 

resources.

第十二届香港国际音乐节·2025华鸣奖创新流行音乐大赛组委会主席邱红樱女士同步揭晓赛程，据悉，本次赛事将自5月起，面向全球音乐爱好者开启校园、社会、原创三大赛道，优秀选手将赴港参加总决赛，竞逐国际级音乐发展资源。

At the ceremony, the first collaboration 

following the competition's launch was 

signed between Sichuan Vocational College 

of Art and the event operator, Chengdu 

Wenyun Jiacheng Cultural Development 

Co., Ltd. Feng Mei, Member of the Party 

Committee and Vice President of Sichuan 

Vocational College of Art, and Yang De, 

Executive Chairman of the Organizing 

Committee of the 12th HKIMF · 2025 

Huaming Award Innovative Pop Music 

Competition, jointly announced the 

establishment of an "Art Innovation 

Laboratory" to deepen cooperation in talent 

incubation, digital cultural creativity, and 

revitalization of intangible cultural heritage.

活动现场，作为本次赛事落地后的首项合作——四川艺术职业学院与赛事运营方成都文韵嘉诚文化发展有限公司签署合作协议。四川艺术职业学院党委委员、副院长冯梅与第十二届香港国际音乐节·2025华鸣奖创新流行音乐大赛组委会执行主席杨德共同表示：双方将共建“艺术创新实验室”，在人才孵化、数字文创、非遗活化等多方面开展深度合作。

The opening ceremony featured spectacular 

performances by Sichuan Vocational 

College of Art, including "Sichuan 

Welcomes You", the Sichuan opera stunt 

"Spring in Full Bloom", the award-winning 

dance "Beautiful Girls in Peking Opera" 

(winner of the "Taoli Cup" and National 

Dance Competition gold medals), and the 

acrobatic piece "Spring Buds" (first prize 

winner at the Russian "Road of Circus" 

International Acrobatics Competition). 

Guo Shuyu, a renowned singer and 

competition mentor, performed "The Same 

Moonlight" and "Embrace of Love", 

alongside the Tibetan dance "Castavan" 

and the classic erhu piece "Galloping 

Horses". Together, these performances 

presented a high-caliber art event blending 

award-winning works and intangible 

cultural heritage.

启动仪式上，四川艺术职业学院带来《四川欢迎你》等精彩演出，既有展现巴蜀风情的川剧绝活《春色满园》、荣获"桃李杯"和全国舞蹈比赛金奖的《俏花旦》，又有俄罗斯"马戏之路"国际杂技比赛一等奖作品《春芽》。音乐节大赛导师、知名歌唱家郭姝豫献唱《一样的月光》、《爱的拥抱》，与藏族舞蹈《卡斯达温》、经典二胡曲目《万马奔腾》等节目交相辉映，共同呈现了一场汇聚专业赛事获奖作品与非遗文化精髓的高水准艺术盛会。

Notably, the competition will leverage 

multi-party resources to build an industry 

empowerment platform. Through activities 

such as the music competition, the 

promotional music micro drama "Travel 

with Music", the urban music week, the

study tour for Hong Kong youth in Chinese 

mainland, the Hong Kong industrial 

investment fair, and the trade fair for 

products entering the Greater Bay Area 

and global markets, the event will drive 

cross-sector integration of music with 

culture, tourism, education, and technology. 

This musical dialogue not only creates an 

international path for young artists' 

development but also serves as an 

innovative model for Sichuan-Hong Kong 

cooperation in cultural integration, 

industrial development, and talent 

cultivation.

值得关注的是，赛事将联动多方资源搭建产业赋能平台，通过音乐大赛、“跟着音乐去旅行”音乐短剧宣传、城市音乐周、香港青年内地旅行研学团、香港产业投资洽谈会、产品入湾出海贸易洽谈会等系列活动，推动音乐产业与文旅、教育、科技等领域的跨界融合。这场音乐对话，既为青年艺术家铺设国际化成长通道，更致力于为川港两地在文化共融、产业共兴、人才共育等方面提供创新样本。
