Recently, President Xi Jinping
replied to a letter from the head of
the Danish Chamber of Commerce
in China, encouraging the chamber
and its member enterprises to make

China-Denmark and China-Europe
friendship and deepening mutually
beneficial cooperation. Xi Jinping
expressed his hope that the Danish
Chamber of Commerce in China and
its member enterprises will continue

Policy to Five Countries including
Brazil
中国对巴西等5国试行免签政策
To further facilitate cross-border
travel, China decided to include
more countries in its visa waiver
program and extend the visa-free
policy to ordinary passport holders
from Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru,
and Uruguay on a trial basis from
June 1, 2025 to May 31, 2026.
Ordinary passport holders from the
above-mentioned five countries can
be exempted from visa to enter
China and stay for no more than 30
days for business, tourism, family/
friends visit, exchange and transit
purposes.
为进一步便利中外人员往来，中方决定扩大免签国家范围。自2025年6月1日起至2026年5月31日，对巴西、阿根廷、智利、秘鲁、乌拉圭持普通护照人员试行免签政策。上述五国持普通护照人员来华经商、旅游观光、探亲访友、交流访问、过境不超过30天，可免办签证入境。

The 20th Western China International
Fair to Open on May 25
第二十届西博会将于5月25日开幕
On May 13, a press conference for
the 20th Western China
International Fair was held in
Beijing. It was announced that this
year’s fair will commence on May
25. The fair, themed “Deepening
Reform to Boost Momentum,
Expanding Opening Up to Promote
Development”, will invite Hungary
and Laos as the inaugural dual
Guest Countries of Honor while
featuring Zhejiang and Qinghai as
the first dual Guest Provinces of
Honor.

On May 15, the 2025 Centralized
Project Signing and Investment
Promotion Ambassador
Appointment Conference was held
in Wenjiang District, Chengdu City.
The event was graced by the
presence of numerous guests,
including Chen Hua, Secretary of
the Leading Party Members Group
and Director General of the
Chengdu Investment Promotion
Bureau; Huang Ting, Deputy
Director General of the Chengdu
Agricultural and Rural Bureau;
Huang Jian, Deputy Director
General of the Chengdu Commerce
Bureau; Chen Xingming, Chief
Economist of the Chengdu New
Economic Development
Commission under the Chengdu
Municipal Bureau of Economic and
Information Technology; and Shen
Lin, Chief Engineer of the Chengdu
Municipal Science and Technology
Bureau. Ma Liehong, Secretary of
the Wenjiang District Committee
of the Communist Party of China
(CPC), attended the event and
presented letters of appointment
to the investment promotion
ambassadors. The letter issuance
was also joined by Wang Jun,
Deputy Secretary of the CPC
Wenjiang District Committee and
District Mayor, who delivered a
speech.

The event included a presentation
on the investment environment of
Wenjiang District. The four major
strategic zones, namely the
Wenjiang Hi-tech Industrial Park,
the Wenjiang National Agricultural
Science and Technology Park, the
Sci-tech Innovation Valley of the
University of Electronic Science
and Technology of China, and the
Modern Service Industrial Park,
were introduced with a focus on
their basic profiles, platforms, and
resources.
会上，温江区进行了投资环境推介。温江高新技术产业园区、温江国家农业科技园区、电子科大科创谷和现代服务业战区“四大战区”分别围绕基本情况、载体资源等进行了介绍。
A centralized project signing
ceremony was also held during the
event, resulting in the signing of 11
projects with a total investment of
RMB 10.8 billion. These projects
primarily cover medicine and
healthcare, equipment
manufacturing, modern urban
agriculture, modern commerce, and
other industries. Additionally, to
expand the partnership network for
attracting investments and to fully
leverage the role of investment
promotion ambassadors as bridges
and connectors, Wenjiang District
issued appointment letters to 13
representatives.
现场还举行了项目集中签约仪式，共计11个项目签约，总投资108亿元，重点覆盖医药健康、装备制造、现代都市农业、现代商务等产业领域。此外，为扩大招商引资的“朋友圈”，充分发挥“招商大使”的桥梁纽带作用，温江区向13名代表颁发了招商大使聘书。
