"Can you teach me how to say ‘moon 

cake’ in Chinese?" At 5:30 p.m. on 

September 14, the Youth 24h Shared

New Space  in the Collegetown 

Community's of Liucheng Sub-district 

came alive as 40 Chinese and 

international citizens gathered to 

experience mooncake making and a 

traditional Mid-Autumn garden party. 

They shared the customs of the Mid-

Autumn Festival and embraced the 

warm holiday atmosphere, enhancing 

their sense of belonging and happiness 

while studying and living in Wenjiang.

“小巧精致，真想分享给我的家人一起品尝。”“可以教我用中文说‘moon cake’吗？”9月14日下午5时30分，柳城街道大学城社区24H青年共享空间热闹了起来，40多名中外市民体验月饼制作、中秋传统游园，交流中秋习俗，感受温馨的节日气氛，增进在温江学习生活的归属感和幸福感。 

As the 2024 Mid-Autumn Festival 

approaches, the Foreign Affairs Office 

of Wenjiang District, the Media 

Convergence Center of Wenjiang 

District, and the Collegetown

Community of Liucheng Sub-district 

have jointly launched the "Meet at · 

Sneak into Moon Village" themed 

activity. This activity is open to all 

citizens and some Chinese and 

international residents in Wenjiang are 

also invited to experience traditional 

culture and celebrate this traditional 

festival.

在2024年中秋佳节来临之际，区外事办、区融媒体中心、柳城街道大学城社区联合推出“域见·溜进月球村”主题活动，面向全体市民开放的同时，邀请部分在温中外市民代表感受传统文化，喜迎传统佳节。 

"The moon is full during the Mid-

Autumn Festival, and as the Mid-

Autumn Festival is approaching, 

delicious mooncakes are an essential 

traditional delicacy." While sharing 

Mid-Autumn customs, the mooncake-

making master explained how to make 

mooncakes.

“八月中秋月亮圆满，在中秋佳节来临之际，香甜美味的月饼是必不可少的传统美食。”月饼制作师傅一边分享中秋习俗，一边讲解月饼制作技巧。 

"I love mooncakes." Ana, from Spain, 

who enjoys making small cakes, kneads 

the dough smooth and soft, then presses 

the stuffing into the dough, and puts it 

into a mold, thereby making a beautiful 

mooncake. "I'm really happy; once I 

learn to make mooncakes, my family 

can taste a new delicacy!" She 

expressed her delight in engaging with 

such a traditional Chinese cultural 

experience, stating, "I love interacting 

with everyone. It makes me feel warm, 

like home."

“我喜欢月饼。”来自西班牙的Ana平时就爱制作小蛋糕，她将手中的面团揉得光滑柔软，再把搓成小球的馅料压进面团里，放进模具里一压，一个漂亮的月饼就成型了，“我很开心，学会做月饼后，我的家人就可以品尝到新的美食啦。”对于参加这样的中国传统文化体验活动，她表示非常开心：“我喜欢和大家在一起交流互动，就像家一样温暖。”

Mahin, from Bangladesh, who also 

wants to bring mooncake-making skills 

back home, said that "every culture 

has its unique charm, and that's the 

attraction of culture." Having just 

arrived in Wenjiang for his studies, 

Mahin expressed his excitement, 

saying, "I'm happy to study and live in 

Wenjiang. There are so many delicious 

foods here, and I can't wait to try them."

想把月饼制作技艺带回家的还有来自孟加拉国的Mahin，他说，不同的文化都有其独特的魅力，这就是文化带给人的吸引力。Mahin刚到温江上大学不久，“很高兴在温江学习生活，这里有很多美味，已经迫不及待想去探访了。”

Sharing Space, there were also Mid-

Autumn cultural interaction areas, 

traditional handicraft experience areas, 

food booth tasting areas, music 

interactive areas, and other areas. 

People can engage in Mid-Autumn 

culture activities such as lantern riddles 

and flying flower commands, stroll 

through the market, and participate in 

hands-on interactions such as making 

bamboo weaving fans, tie-dyeing, 

beadworking, creating fragrance cards, 

and making handmade soaps. The lively 

market buzzed with people, laughter, 

and joy, creating a warm and festive 

atmosphere.

在24H共享空间外的中秋传统游园体验区，还设置了中秋文化互动区、传统手工体验区、美食摊位品鉴区、音乐互动区等区域，大家体验猜灯谜、飞花令等中秋文化，逛集市，参与竹编扇、扎染、串珠、香薰牌、手工皂等手工互动，集市现场，人来人往，欢声笑语，其乐融融。 

"I've met many international friends and 

experience Chinese traditional culture 

together. It is a rare journey for me."

 Tan Xue, from Chengdu Normal 

University, specially wore a Hanfu 

before attending the activity. She noted

that the 24H Sharing Space created by 

the community provides a platform for 

university students from different 

countries and regions to communicate, 

and rich and diversified youth cultural 

exchange activities will be held here.

It is believed that more "sparks" will 

be created.

“认识了很多外国朋友，我们一起体验中国传统文化，是一次难得的旅程。”来自成都师范学院的谭雪参加活动之前，特意搭配了汉服，她表示，社区打造的这个24小时共享空间，让来自全球不同国家和地区的大学生多了一个交流的平台，这里还会开展丰富多元的青年文化交流活动，相信会碰撞出更多的“火花”。 

"It's such a lively atmosphere today, 

our international friends join us to 

experience our traditional culture, with 

warm feelings shared." Ms. Zhang, a 

resident of the Collegetown

Community from Xi'an, works in 

Wenjiang. After work, she and her 

family came to the Mid-Autumn 

traditional garden party to experience 

the festival culture. This is her third 

Mid-Autumn Festival in Wenjiang, 

and she remarked, "It makes me feel at 

home."

“今天真热闹啊，外国友人来共同体验我们的传统文化，传递着暖暖的温情。”居住在大学城社区的张女士来自西安，在温江工作，下班后，她也和家人来到家门口的中秋传统游园体验中秋文化，这是她在温江过的第三个中秋节，直言“很有家的味道。” 

"As the Mid-Autumn Festival 

approaches, we organize a gathering for 

Chinese and international students from

universities in Wenjiang along with 

community residents. Through 

mooncake making and garden party 

experiences, we want everyone to feel 

the rich atmosphere of the Mid-Autumn 

Festival and promote the ‘Harmonious 

Neighborhood · Wenjiang, a Warm 

Family.’ In the process of sharing, 

emotional connections between both 

old and new residents of Wenjiang are 

enhanced, and their senses of belonging 

are deepened." said Hu Yunzhi, the 

person in charge of this activity coming 

from the Collegetown Community. 

“中秋节即将到来，我们组织驻温高校的中外学生和社区居民相聚一起，通过做月饼、游园体验，感受中秋节浓厚氛围，共同感受‘和谐邻里情·温江一家亲’的良好氛围，在共建共享中增进了新老温江人的情感链接，厚植了他们的家园情怀。”大学城社区党委副书记、纪委书记胡韵芝告诉记者。 

It is understood that the "Meet at · 

Sneak into Moon Village" themed 

activity is one of the theme activities 

of "Meet at", a foreign affairs brand of 

Wenjiang District. Since the brand's 

creation in July 2022, over 20 various 

cultural exchange activities under the 

brand have been organized. These 

activities have continuously promoted 

cultural exchange and mutual learning 

between Wenjiang and foreign cities, 

as well as among citizens from home 

and abroad in Wenjiang, and fostered a 

strong urban atmosphere of "Wenjiang, 

A Warm Family".

据了解，“域见·溜进月球村”主题活动，是温江区外事工作品牌“域见”主题活动其中一场，该品牌自2022年7月创建以来，已陆续开展各类人文交流主题活动20余场，持续推动着温江与国外城市、在温中外市民之间不同文化的交流互鉴，营造起浓厚的“温江一家亲”城市氛围。
