Looking back on the past year, 

every change and achievement of 

Wenjiang reflects the efforts and 

contributions from all sectors of 

society. It not only embodies the 

wisdom and hard work of both old 

and new residents of Wenjiang, 

but also represents the love and 

affection of every foreign citizen 

living, working, and studying in 

Wenjiang.

回首过去一年，温江的每一点变化，取得的每一份成绩，都饱含着社会各界的付出与努力。这其中不仅凝聚着新老温江人的智慧和汗水，也满含着每一个在温江生活、工作、求学的外籍市民对温江的热爱与深情。

This February 3 is Little New Year 

(Chinese: Xiaonian), also known 

as the Festival of the Kitchen God, 

which means the impending arrival 

of the Spring Festival. People 

celebrate Little New Year and 

anticipate reunions. On this day, 

in every place called "hometown", 

the rising smoke from the kitchen 

carries a special "New Year's 

flavor" that can only be 

experienced at this moment. A 

family banquet was held at the 

French Culture Center by Jiang'an 

River. Scientific research experts 

from the United States, 

entrepreneurs from France, foreign 

teachers from Canada and Pakistan, 

and international students and 

volunteers from Indonesia, 

Pakistan, India, Vietnam, 

Tajikistan, Romania, and other 

countries in Wenjiang gathered 

together with the foreign affairs 

personnel, journalists, entry and 

exit police, community workers 

and residents of Wenjiang to share 

local delicacies, depicting a warm 

picture of "Wenjiang as one family".

2月3日，小年，春不远。小年，盼团圆。在这一天，每一个被称作“故乡”的地方，厨房炊烟生起处，都会飘出一种只有这时才会有的，“年的味道”。一场家宴在江安河畔的法国文化中心开席，在温江工作的美国科研专家、法国企业家，来自加拿大、巴基斯坦的外教，以及来自印尼、巴基斯坦、印度、越南、塔吉克斯坦、罗马尼亚等国的留学生和志愿者们与温江的外事人、记者、出入境民警、社区工作者和居民们欢聚一堂，共享家乡美食，描绘出一幅“温江一家亲”的温馨画卷。

This event was co-sponsored by 

the Foreign Affairs Office of 

Wenjiang District People's 

Government, the Media 

Convergence Center of Wenjiang 

District, the Exit and Entry 

Administration Brigade of 

Wenjiang District Branch of 

Chengdu Public Security Bureau, 

and the University Town 

Community of Liucheng Sub-

district. During the event, Chinese 

and foreign citizen representatives 

appreciated the paintings of the 

French Culture Center together, 

introduced the cultural background 

and cooking methods of special 

dishes for New Year's Eve dinner 

in their respective countries, and 

experienced Chinese traditional 

games and the custom — making 

dumplings together. Laughter and 

joy filled the air.

本次活动由区外事办、区融媒体中心、温江公安区分局出入境管理大队以及柳城街道大学城社区联合主办。活动中，中外市民代表一同参观了法国文化中心画作，介绍了各自国家特色年夜饭菜肴的文化背景和制作方法，共同体验了中国的传统小游戏和年夜习俗——包饺子，欢声笑语不断。

In the bustling kitchen, the pulao 

turned golden, while the aroma of 

chicken dahi that was being plated 

filled the air. Vietnamese spring 

rolls lined up, waiting for the hot 

oil to crisp their skin. The Ayam 

bakar nasi daun jeruk dan sambal 

was served with chili sauce and 

shrimp cakes, which is a perfect 

combination. Moreover, our 

traditional braised pork and 

twice-cooked pork with dried 

beancurd and garlic sprouts also 

exuded a strong aroma. All 

participants collaboratively 

prepared a New Year's Eve dinner 

filled with delicious dishes from 

around the world. They shared 

hometown cuisines, exchanged 

New Year wishes, and immersed 

themselves in the warm atmosphere 

of unity and harmony in Wenjiang.

热闹的厨房里，手抓饭（Pulao）开始变得金黄，咖喱酸奶炖鸡（Chicken Dahi）香气四溢正在装盘，越南春卷（Vietnamese Spring Rolls）整齐列队等待热油将表皮变得酥脆，酸橙叶烤鸡配饭（Ayam bakar nasi daun jeruk dan sambal）淋上辣椒酱跟虾饼是绝配。另一边，我们传统的红烧肉和蒜苗豆干回锅肉也迸发出浓烈的香味。大家共同制作出一桌由世界各地美味组成的年夜饭，分享家乡美食，互赠新年祝福，感受温江一家亲的浓浓年味。

"The Spring Festival is 

approaching. As China's most 

significant festival, it sees every 

person away from home return and 

gather together to celebrate the 

New Year. On the night of the 

Festival of the Kitchen God, we 

gathered Chinese and foreign 

citizens from all walks of life and 

all over the world who have stayed 

in Wenjiang for the Spring Festival. 

In a spirit of camaraderie, we came 

together to celebrate this festive 

season, uniting as one big family 

and immersing ourselves in the 

flavors of the hometown," the 

relevant personnel of the Foreign 

Affairs Office of Wenjiang District 

People's Government said.

“春节将至，在中国传统节日里，游子归家、欢聚一堂是过年的主旋律。今年小年夜，我们把留在温江过年的来自天南地北、各行各业、世界各地的中外市民聚集，一家人放放松松、热热闹闹一起过年，在家乡的味道中心安温江。”—区外事办有关负责同志介绍。

Mr. Paul Li from the United States 

said sincerely that this is his fifth 

year in Wenjiang and he enjoys 

the Spring Festival atmosphere 

here. The comfortable working 

environment and various delicacies 

make him feel at home. Cibu

 Ioanin, an international student 

from Romania, said that Wenjiang 

is adorned with lights and 

decorations during the Spring 

Festival. He also expressed 

appreciation for the thoughtful 

care he has received in both his 

daily life and studies. Wenjiang is 

truly wonderful.

来自美国的李保罗先生由衷的表示，这是他在温江过的第5个年了，他很享受温江的过年氛围，在温江工作环境非常舒适，又有各种美味，生活在这里有家的感觉。罗马尼亚籍留学生Cibu Ioanin谈到，在温江过年到处都张灯结彩，非常热闹，在这里生活和学习也都受到了无微不至的关怀，温江真的很棒。
