The much anticipated new subway line,
the Second Phase of Chengdu Metro Line 19,
has been put into preliminary operation
since 9:00, November 28, 2023.

The first line in service among the
projects of the 4th stage of Chengdu rail
transit construction, the Second Phase of
Chengdu Metro Line 19 has a length of
43.17 kilometers, running from the
Jiujiang North Station in the west to
Hejiang Station in the east. It joins Line
18 at Tianfu Station, extending together
to the Tianfu International Airport North
Station, and connects areas including
Wenjiang District, Shuangliu District and
Sichuan Tianfu New Area, serving as a
major line in the urban express transit
network and an express line linking
airports in Chengdu.
作为成都市城市轨道交通第四期建设规划的首条开通线路，19号线二期西起九江北站，东至合江站，全长43.17公里，经天府站接入18号线并共线运营至天府机场北站，串联温江区、双流区和四川天府新区，兼具市域快线干线和机场线的复合功能。
The launch of the new line results in the
connection of the first and the second
phase of Chengdu Metro Line 19, which
links the two international airports in
the city and now has a length of over
100 kilometers, boasting the speed of
the train running on the line as up to 160
kph. Besides, it is no longer necessary
to transfer through other lines for people
riding metro lines to Wenjiang District,
Shuangliu District, Sichuan Tianfu New
Area and Chengdu Eastern New Area,
or commuting passengers between the
two airports, improving the travel
efficiency significantly. For instance, it
only takes 30 minutes to get to Tianfu
International Airport from Shuangliu
International Airport if you choose the
through train on Line 19.
19号线二期与一期贯通，全长突破100公里，最高运行速度可达160km/h，联通双机场，有效提升综合交通配套水平。前往温江区、双流区、四川天府新区、成都东部新区，以及在双机场之间往返通行的乘客，不再需要通过其他线路换乘绕行，出行效率得到大幅提升。例如，乘坐19号线双机场直达车，仅需30分钟即可从双流国际机场到达天府国际机场。
The launch of the Second Phase of
Chengdu Metro Line 19 not only
substantially reduces the travel distance,
but also results in the price cut, with a
total of 1,594 station section fares
decreasing in varying degrees. For
instance, the travel fare from Jiujiang
North Station to Shuangliu International
Airport is reduced from the previous
RMB6 to RMB4 upon the operation of
the new line.
不仅出行距离有效缩短，共计1594个地铁站间票价也均有不同程度下降，市民地铁出行将更加实惠。以从九江北站出发前往双流国际机场为例，此前票价为6元，19号线二期开通初期运营后票价降低为4元。
To provide convenience for passengers,
a tunnel has been completed to ensure
the through-the-gate transfer between
Line 19's East of Terminal 2 of
Shuangliu International Airport Station
and Line 10's Terminal 2 of Shuangliu
International Airport Station, which lie
on opposite sides of Shuangliu Airport
Railway Station. Transferring
passengers (one-way ticket holders not
included) don't need to pay the starting
fare again, while one-way ticket
passengers must purchase tickets
outside the station again for their
reentry.
19号线双流机场2航站楼东站与10号线双流机场2航站楼站，分别位于高铁双流机场站的两侧。为方便市民乘客出行，在两站之间增设了地下通道，可实现两站之间“出闸换乘”。乘客在这两站之间换乘（除单程票外），30分钟内可享受连续计费，持单程票的乘客出站后需重新购票进站。
As the entrance & exit of Tianfu Station
has so far not opened to outflow and
inflow of passengers, the station serves
only as a transfer station for Line 18 and
19 at present.
天府站出入口暂未开启，无法提供进站或出站服务，目前作为18、19号线的换乘站，仅换乘不出站。
