On November 17, the signing ceremony

 of the Memorandum of Understanding 

on Establishing Friendly Cooperation 

between Wenjiang District, Chengdu, 

China and Autun, France was held. 

The two parties participated in the 

event online. At the event, Wang Jun, 

Deputy Secretary of the CPC 

Wenjiang District Committee and 

District Mayor, and Vincent Chauvet, 

Mayor of Autun, signed the 

Memorandum of Understanding on 

Establishing Friendly Cooperation. 

Both parties expressed that the official 

establishment of this friendly 

cooperation marks a new milestone in 

the relationship development between 

Wenjiang and Autun. They intend to 

utilize this opportunity to efficiently 

promote exchanges and cooperation 

in multiple fields such as education, 

culture, sports, and industry, thus 

enhancing the friendship between 

the two cities.

11月17日，“中国成都市温江区与法国欧坦市友好合作关系备忘录签署仪式”举行，双方通过网络连线的方式在“云端”相聚。区长王军，欧坦市市长文森·杜威共同签订《建立友好合作关系备忘录》。双方表示，温江和欧坦正式建立友好合作关系，是两个城市关系发展新的里程碑，将以此为契机，高效推进双方在教育、文化、体育、产业等领域的交流合作，持续深化两地友谊。

Autun, located in the hinterland of 

Western Europe, is the vice-provincial 

capital of the Saône-et-Loire 

department in France. It is also a 

historical and cultural city with a 

history of over 2,000 years. Known 

as the "soul of Burgundy," Autun is 

home to ancient architectural relics 

such as the Porte Saint-André and the 

Roman Theatre. The city's economy 

mainly revolves around industrial 

production, the timber industry, the 

education sector, and the circular 

economy.

欧坦市位于西欧腹地，是法国索恩—卢瓦尔省的副省会城市，也是法国的历史文化名城，建城历史已超过2000年，拥有圣安德雷门、罗马大剧院等古建筑遗迹，被称为“勃艮第之魂”。欧坦市经济主要以工业生产、木料行业、教育产业和循环经济为主。

Wenjiang, the birthplace of the Yufu 

culture in ancient Shu Kingdom, China, 

also boasts a splendid history and 

culture, as well as a pristine ecological 

environment. The district has been 

renowned as the "Golden Wenjiang". 

Currently, Wenjiang is accelerating 

the construction of its "3+6" modern 

industrial system, striving to create a 

new chapter of modernization with 

Chinese characteristics and build 

itself into the most livable district in 

China.

温江作为中华古蜀鱼凫文明发祥地，同样具有灿烂的历史文化、良好的生态本底，素有“金温江”的美誉。当前，温江正加快构建“3+6”现代化产业体系，奋力谱写中国式现代化温江新篇章，打造中国最具幸福感城区。

It is worth mentioning that Wenjiang 

collaborated with Autun as early as 

2017, building a bridge of friendship 

and cooperation despite the obstacles 

of mountains and oceans. Over the 

past six years, Wenjiang Guanghua 

Experimental Primary School, 

Wenjiang Experimental School of 

Chengdu, Wenjiang District East 

Street Second Primary School, and 

No.2 Middle School of Wenjiang, 

Chengdu have established friendly 

cooperation with Saint-Lazare School, 

Epinac School, Leiz Primary School, 

and Étang-sur-Arroux School in Autun, 

respectively. Their continuous 

exchanges in education and culture 

have played an important role in 

broadening the international 

perspectives of young people in 

both cities and enhancing the 

internationalization of education in 

these schools.

据了解，早在2017年，温江与欧坦就已建立联系，架起了跨越山海的友谊合作之桥。六年间，区光华实验小学、区实验学校、东大街第二小学、温江二中分别与欧坦市圣拉加尔学校、莱兹小学、埃皮纳克学校、阿鲁河畔埃塘学校建立友好关系，并持续开展教育和文化领域的交流，对开阔两地青少年国际视野、提升两地教育国际化水平起到了重要作用。

At the invitation of the Foreign Affairs 

Office of the People's Government of 

Wenjiang District, 13 teachers and 

students from Lumina Coeli - Girls' 

Choir, one of the oldest children's 

choirs in Europe from Autun, France, 

will visit Wenjiang from November 

23 to 25. The choir has upheld its 

musical tradition since the Middle 

Ages, singing with the pure and clear 

voices of children in the singing 

method dating back to the 7th century. 

During their stay in Wenjiang, the 

choir will engage in exchanges in 

music education and traditional 

culture with local schools, while 

presenting performances. These 

activities aim to enhance the 

understanding and friendship between 

young people from China and France 

and promote mutual learning and 

improvement of the education 

systems in both cities.

11月23日至25日，应区政府外事办公室邀请，欧洲最古老的童声合唱团之一法国欧坦市“天空之光女童合唱团”13名师生将赴温江开展访问，该合唱团从中世纪以来，音乐传统从未间断，一代又一代的清澈童声仍然以公元7世纪的演唱方法吟唱着天籁之音。在温期间，将与区内学校共同开展音乐教育、传统文化交流，并举办汇报演出，增进两地青少年对彼此国家的了解和感情，促进两地教育体系的相互借鉴和提高。
