The Mid-Autumn Festival is drawing 

near. On September 24, the creative 

Chinese-foreign citizen 

communication theme event 

"Wenjiang Family · Hometown Moon 

Mid-Autumn Reunion" was co-hosted 

by the Foreign Affairs Office of 

Wenjiang District, Urban and Rural 

Community Development and 

Governance Commission of  

Wenjiang District, Wenjiang Media 

Convergence Center, and Exit and 

Entry Administration Brigade of 

Wenjiang District Public Security 

Sub-bureau. More than 10 foreign 

citizens from Italy, Spain, 

Turkmenistan, Indonesia, and other 

countries attended the event with 

their families and Chinese friends. 

They immersed themselves in the 

Mid-Autumn atmosphere by making 

handicrafts, tasting mooncakes, 

and talking about folk customs.

中秋临近，9月24日，由区外事办、区委社治委、区融媒体中心、区公安分局出入境管理大队联合主办的温江一家亲·域见吾乡月—“团圆中秋”中外市民创意交流主题活动举行。来自意大利、西班牙、土库曼斯坦、印度尼西亚等国家的10余名在温外籍友人携家人和中国朋友们齐聚一堂，做手工、品月饼、聊习俗，沉浸式体验“中秋味”。

During the event, special guests 

introduced the origin and customs 

of the traditional Chinese Mid-

Autumn Festival and its customs. 

Later, Chinese and foreign residents 

in Wenjiang appreciated and learned 

about traditional handicrafts. Under 

the guidance of famous Chengdu 

woodwork artist Du Xiyun, everyone 

enjoyed hands-on experience with 

woodworking projects, appreciating 

the beauty of craftsmanship and the 

profoundness of Chinese culture.

活动中，特邀嘉宾向中外友人介绍了中国传统节日中秋节的来历及习俗。随后，中外友人近距离欣赏和了解传统手工艺品。在成都知名木作艺术家杜西云老师的指导下，大家动手体验木作项目，感受手工艺之美和中华文化的博大精深。

Giordano Tudino, an international 

student from Italy, was very 

interested in woodworking. Under 

the guidance of the teacher, he 

experienced wood polishing, 

decoration and binding for the first 

time. "This is my first time polishing 

wood and threading needles. It's 

interesting. A small wooden 

handicraft seems easy but is 

challenging to make, and through 

this, I have gained a deeper 

understanding of Chinese culture," 

said Giordano Tudino. He told the 

journalist that he has been in China 

for five years and is very fond of 

Chinese culture, "I love this city, its 

inclusive culture, kind-hearted people 

and that it is full of opportunities and 

challenges."

来自意大利的留学生苏耘哲对木作很感兴趣，在老师的指导下，他第一次体验了木头的打磨和装饰装订。我还是第一次对木头进行打磨、穿针引线，很有意思，一个小小的木制手作，看起来容易做起来难，自己也因此对中国文化有了更深的了解，来中国已经五年了，我非常喜欢中国文化。我爱这座城，爱它包容的文化、爱它善良的人们、爱它充满机遇与挑战。

Hu Sheng, from Turkmenistan, who 

started a business in Wenjiang, gave 

a thumbs up after tasting Wenjiang's 

handmade mooncakes. "In my 

country, we also have similar festivals 

where we share food as a way of 

celebration. It reminds me of the days 

when I gathered with my family. 

Although I miss them, I am not alone.

 Everyone here is like my family, 

making me feel warm," said Hu Sheng.

来自土库曼斯坦、在温江创业的胡胜品尝了温江手工月饼后，不停地竖起大拇指。“在我的国家，也有类似的节日，在节日到来时有‘仪式感’的分享食物，这也让我想起了与家人聚在一起的日子，虽然想念家人，但我并不孤单，因为这里的每一个人都像我的家人一样，给我温暖。”胡胜说道。

After the handicraft session, Du 

Xiyun also went on stage and played 

folk music in multiple languages. 

Wenjiang citizen Lang Jin and her 

husband, Mr. Francis, a Spanish 

architect, also presented a Spanish 

song to everyone. Citizens attending 

the event share their feelings about 

the Mid-Autumn Festival through 

music.

手工制作后，杜西云老师还走上台前，演奏多国民乐串烧。温江市民朗金和先生——来自西班牙的建筑设计师弗朗西斯也为大家带来一首西班牙歌曲。中外市民在音乐中彼此分享对中秋的感受。

"I found this event very interesting. 

I learned a lot about the Mid-Autumn 

Festival and it deepened my 

understanding of traditional Chinese 

festivals. I will share these interesting 

stories with my family," said Nasha 

from Pakistan.

“我感觉这次活动很有趣，学到了很多关于中秋节的知识，加深了我对中国传统节日的认知，我要把这些有趣的事讲给家人听。”来自巴基斯坦的纳夏说道。

Zhang Jing, Deputy Director from 

the Foreign Affairs Department of 

Wenjiang District, said that through 

the event, people from all over the 

world gathered in Wenjiang to warm 

their hearts, together depict their 

impressions of the Mid-Autumn 

Festival, and immerse in the nice 

atmosphere of the "Wenjiang Family".

区委办副主任、区委外事办副主任张静表示，通过活动，让五湖四海聚在温江的人心生温暖，共同描绘心中的中秋，同时感受“温江一家亲”的良好氛围。
