2023 Chengdu Europe Culture Season Launches! “2023成都·欧洲文化季”开幕！

What happens when Tianfu culture meets

European charm? Ever since the first

Chengdu Europe Culture Season

debuted in 2017, the annual event has

become the one that Chengdu citizens

look forward to every year.

On May 18, the 2023 Chengdu Europe

Culture Season kicked off as scheduled.

The opening concert, held at the

Chengdu City Concert Hall, was

sponsored by the Foreign Affairs

Office of the Chengdu Municipal

People's Government in cooperation

with the Chengdu Municipal Bureau

of Culture, Broadcast, TV and Tourism

and the Chengdu Wuhou District

People's Government. Lively notes and

elegant rhythms heralded the launch of

this year's Chengdu Europe Culture

Season.

当天府文化遇见欧式风情，会产生怎样的奇妙效果？自2017年以来持续举办的“成都·欧洲文化季”，早已成为蓉城市民一年一度的固定期待。

5月18日，“2023成都·欧洲文化季”如期而至。成都市人民政府外事办公室联合成都市文化广电旅游局、成都市武侯区人民政府举办的开幕音乐会在成都城市音乐厅举行，以跳动的音符和优美的旋律拉开今年文化季的序幕。

2023 marks the 50th anniversary of

the establishment of diplomatic

relations between China and Spain,

and the China-Spain Year of Culture

and Tourism. The 2023 Chengdu

Europe Culture Season has invited

Spain as the guest country of honor,

and will hold a series of cultural

and artistic events such as the

"Night of Spain" Flamenco Show

and Salvador Dalí Exhibition with

the embassy and consulates of

Spain in China and the City

Council of Madrid, which has

developed friendly cooperation

relationship with Chengdu,

bringing Chengdu citizens unique

Spanish charm.

2023年是中国和西班牙建交50周年，同时也是中西文化和旅游年。“2023成都·欧洲文化季”特邀西班牙为主宾国，将联合西班牙驻华使领馆和成都友好合作关系城市马德里市政府，举办“西班牙之夜”弗拉门戈秀、西班牙知名艺术家达利艺术展等文艺活动，为蓉城市民带来别样的西班牙风情。

This year's Chengdu Europe Culture

Season will comprise cultural and

artistic exchanges between Chengdu

and Europe in order to deepen the

friendship and promote communication

between people from both sides. The

Foreign Affairs Office of the Chengdu

Municipal People's Government will

join hands with embassies and

consulates of countries including

Spain, Austria, Poland, Germany,

France, the Netherlands, Switzerland,

Türkiye, Hungary, Italy and the United

Kingdom in China to host 16 activities

like art exhibition, concert, film week,

coffee culture month, football carnival,

and poetry sharing session, making this

Chengdu Europe Culture Season the one

with the most thematic activities.

本届文化季将开展蓉欧文化对话与艺术交流，深化蓉欧友谊、推动民心相亲。成都市人民政府外事办公室将携手西班牙、奥地利、波兰、德国、法国、荷兰、瑞士、土耳其、匈牙利、意大利、英国等国驻华使领馆，举办艺术展、音乐会、电影周、咖啡文化月、足球嘉年华、诗歌分享会等16场活动，是文化季举办以来主题活动场次最多的一年。

Citizens will enjoy the elegant Chinese

and Polish music played by Poland

musicians and Chengdu pianists, feel

the collision of Italian contemporary

artworks with Chinese history and

culture, and experience the unique

understanding of Chengdu's "Bashi"

culture created by foreign artists living

in Sichuan and Chongqing. They can

also participate in the poetry dialogue

between the Danube River and the

Minjiang River, jointly explore the

warm patriotism of Hungary poet

Sándor Petőfi, and through blue and

white porcelain and "Delft Blue

pottery", witness the inheritance and

creation of ancient craftsmanship by

Chinese and Dutch artists.

这一次，大家将欣赏到波兰音乐家与成都钢琴家联袂奏响优雅的中波乐章，感受意大利当代艺术作品与中国历史文化的碰撞，体验旅居川渝的外国艺术家用在地创作诠释对成都“巴适”文化的独到理解，在多瑙河与岷江的诗歌对谈中探寻匈牙利诗人裴多菲的爱国情怀，透过青花瓷与“代尔夫特蓝陶”感知中荷艺术家对古老工艺的传承与创造……

Culture Season

This Chengdu Europe Culture Season will

enrich the communication scenarios and

explore more topics for exchanges. The

Coffee Culture Month will be held by

Qinglong Lake, where participants can

discuss the aesthetics of urban life

behind more than 7,000 coffee stores

in Chengdu. The Football Carnival will

bring Chengdu citizens the football

experience and sports-themed exchanges

of Germany's top football club FC

Bayern. "Chengdu Europe Culture

Season Film Week" will invite citizens

to enter the theater to experience

Europe's history, culture and modern

life in more than 10 excellent films.

本届文化季将进一步拓展蓉欧交流主题、优化参与渠道、打破空间限制。“咖啡文化月”将在青龙湖畔的蓉欧咖啡对谈中，折射出成都七千多家咖啡门店背后蕴含的城市生活美学。足球嘉年华将为成都市民带来拜仁慕尼黑足球队的文化展览和现场趣味互动。“成都•欧洲文化季电影周”将邀请市民走入影院，在十余部佳片中领略欧洲历史文化与现代生活律动。
