and offline. Built on the theme 

of "Meet ·Home in Wenjiang 

Education for the Future", the 

opening ceremony of the 2023 

China-Canada Education 

Exchange Week in Wenjiang 

District, Chengdu, as well as 

the China-Canada Youth Mental 

Health Education Roundtable, 

was held on May 9 at Wenjiang 

Guanghua Experimental Primary 

School. This event was co-

organized by the Foreign Affairs 

Office of Wenjiang District 

People's Government, the 

Education Bureau of Wenjiang, 

and the Upper Canada District 

School Board (UCDSB), under 

the guidance of the Embassy of 

the People's Republic of China 

in Canada and the support of the 

Foreign Affairs Office of 

Chengdu Municipal People's 

Government, Chengdu Municipal 

Education Bureau, and Chengdu 

Municipal Center for

International Education Exchange.

春夏相交之际，中加双方线上线下相聚。由中国驻加拿大大使馆指导，市外事办、市教育局、市教育对外交流中心支持，区外事办、区教育局、上加拿大教育局联合主办的“域见温江·育建未来”—成都市温江区2023年中加教育人文交流周开幕式暨中加青少年心理健康教育圆桌会议，于5月9日，在光华实验小学隆重举行。

  

As the opening ceremony 

commenced, students from two 

different districts, Nansha in 

Guangzhou and Wenjiang in 

Chengdu, delivered captivating 

cultural performances. Online, 

the students from South China 

Normal University Affiliated 

Nansha Primary School 

presented a mesmerizing 

performance of Beijing Rhyme, 

Canton Style that artfully 

combined poetry and dance to 

express their lofty aspirations. 

Offline, the Wenjiang District 

East Street Second Primary 

School delivered an impassioned 

recitation of Rhythm of Spring, 

showcasing the exuberant energy 

of young people. The ensemble at 

Wenjiang Guanghua Experimental 

Primary School masterfully 

blended the Forest Rhapsody with 

Cai Wei in the Book of Songs, 

resulting in a unique and 

captivating fusion of Eastern 

and Western music. Finally, the 

students from the Fifth Primary 

School in Yanjiang District, 

Ziyang, delighted the audience 

with their beautiful dance 

performance, which portrayed 

the harmonious coexistence of 

lemon trees, lemon flowers, and 

humans, offering a glimpse into 

the captivating beauty of the 

hometown of lemons.

开幕式活动开始，来自广州南沙区、成都温江区的同学们带来了精彩的文艺表演。线上，华南师范大学附属南沙小学的一曲《京韵粤风》诗乐舞，融诗于舞，尽显孩子们胸怀星辰大海之志；现场，温江区东大街第二小学校的《春之韵》诗歌朗诵，嘹亮回响，展现出青少年蓬勃向上的活力；光华实验小学的一曲民乐合奏，将《森林狂想曲》与诗经《采薇》完美结合，让东西方音乐碰撞出别样情致；远道而来的资阳市雁江区第五小学的同学们，也用美丽的舞蹈，展示出一幅柠檬树、柠檬花与人类和谐共生的图景，让人仿佛置身美丽的柠檬之乡。

songs showcased the vibrant 

energy and talents of the 

children, preluding the China-

Canada Education Exchange 

Week. Relevant officials from

the Education Office of the 

Embassy of the People's 

Republic of China in Canada, 

the UCDSB and the Education 

Bureau of Wenjiang, delivered 

speeches on this opening 

ceremony. 

一曲曲精彩的表演，一首首悦耳的歌曲，展现出孩子们的活力和才艺，也为此次中加教育人文交流周活动拉开了序幕。中国驻加拿大大使馆教育处、上加拿大教育局、温江区教育局分别作了交流发言。

Following that, school principals 

from both China and Canada 

convened a roundtable conference

to discuss youth mental health 

education. They explored and 

exchanged ideas on various 

aspects including school culture 

related to mental and emotional 

development, educational paths, 

curriculum design, issue 

identification, and current 

trends. Their shared goal was 

to collaboratively strategize 

and contribute toward 

promoting mental health 

education for youth in both 

China and Canada.
随后，中加双方学校校长围绕中加青少年心理健康教育举行了圆桌会议，分别就学校心育文化、教育路径、课程设置、问题发现、当前趋势等方面进行了探讨和交流，共同为中加双方青少年心理健康教育出谋划策。

This event is set to continue until 

May 12. Apart from the opening 

ceremony and the principal's 

roundtable conference, the event 

will also feature a wide range of 

exciting activities, including the 

Chinese-Canadian Youth Art 

Exhibition and the Canadian 

Writers' Literature and Art 

Sharing Session. These activities 

are aimed at fostering cultural 

exchange between young people 

in both countries, highlighting 

the achievements of educational 

and cultural exchanges between 

China and Canada, and 

facilitating further educational 

and cultural exchanges between 

the two nations.

据悉，本次中加教育人文交流周将持续到5月12日，除开幕式和校长圆桌会议外，还将举行中加青少年艺术展、加拿大作家文学艺术分享会等一系列丰富多彩的活动，推动两地青少年人文交流，展示两地教育人文交流成果，促进中加教育人文交流。

In recent years, Wenjiang has 

been attaching great importance 

to promoting cultural exchange 

with foreign countries in the field 

of education. Within the district, 

over 18 primary and middle 

schools have established 

international friendships with 

more than 40 schools from over 

10 countries including France, 

Canada, and the Republic of 

Korea. They have carried out 

more than 50 educational and 

cultural exchanges between 

China and foreign countries and 

organized teachers and students 

to conduct study trips in 12 

different countries, making 

great efforts to promote the 

high-quality international 

development of education in 

Wenjiang.
近年来，温江一直高度重视教育领域中外人文交流。区内18余所中小学校分别与法国、加拿大、韩国等10余个国家的40余所学校建立了国际友好关系，开展中外教育人文交流50余次，组织师生赴12个国家开展研学，全力推动温江教育国际化高质量发展。

In the near future, Wenjiang will 

continue to vigorously promote 

various forms of international 

exchanges and cooperation and 

improve its level of opening up 

by organizing more international

activities. In the education field, 

Wenjiang will place emphasis 

on deepening bilateral and 

multilateral educational 

cooperation, introducing high-

quality educational resources, 

strengthening international 

understanding and cross-cultural 

communication, and providing a 

platform and opportunities for

mutual learning and exchange 

for teachers and students, so as 

to further promote the exchange 

of educational resources, cultural 

interconnectivity, and mutual 

sharing of achievements with 

countries around the world and 

make greater contributions to 

advancing friendly cooperation 

between cities and enhancing 

youth friendship.
下一步，温江将持续不断促进各类国际交流合作，通过举办更多的主场外事活动，提升城市对外开放水平。在教育领域，重点通过深化双多边教育合作，引进优质教育资源，加强国际理解教育和跨文化沟通交流，为师生提供相互学习、交流互鉴的平台和机会，进一步推动与世界各国的教育资源互通、人文互联、成果互享，为推进城市友好合作、增进青少年友谊作出更大贡献。
